No credit check to enquire
Finding out what's possible leaves your credit file alone. A credit check only comes up once you've chosen to go ahead.
No spray and pray
Your details don't get sprayed across a pile of lenders. One person reads your situation and matches it with care.
A real person on your file
A lending specialist reads your enquiry and rings you. Accurate answers on the form mean the right option comes up first time.
The short answer
What does Knead Funds actually do?
Knead Funds is an Australian business-finance guide and enquiry service. You tell us what the business needs in about 60 seconds, and a lending specialist reads it, rings you and walks through the options that suit your situation.
For trading businesses that usually means unsecured, cash-flow or line-of-credit funding, sized on turnover and bank statements. For owners with property, it can also mean a first mortgage, second mortgage or caveat loan that reaches larger amounts. Either way the money is for business purposes, and past credit issues and ATO debt are considered case by case.
The rest of this site is the part we wish every owner had before applying: what each kind of funding is, who it suits, what lenders look for and what to avoid. Read as little or as much as you like.

Amount, purpose, your state and a few facts about the business. It takes about a minute and does not touch your credit file.

A lending specialist reads what you wrote, rings and fills in the gaps. You hear which options are realistic and what each one would need from you.
- 3
Bake: you choose, then fund
If you like an option, paperwork follows. Same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts, with larger amounts taking longer.

Cash flow works differently in every trade
A cafe pays for ingredients on Monday and gets paid in cash by Friday. A builder pays wages weekly and waits sixty days for a progress claim. Pick your trade to see how the money really moves.
When equity unlocks more
Own a property? The shelf gets taller
Unsecured funding is judged on how you trade, so the amount follows your turnover. When the need is bigger than turnover supports, equity in residential or commercial property can open amounts from $20,000 up to $5,000,000, as a first mortgage, second mortgage or caveat loan.
The trade-off is plain: the property is at risk if the loan cannot be repaid. That is why we point owners to the lighter route first whenever it will do the job, and why our guide to choosing a route asks you to test repayments against your worst month, not your average.

What is a cash-flow loan?
A cash-flow loan is business funding sized on how your business trades rather than on property you own. Lenders look at turnover and bank statements to judge what the business can carry, and the money is used for working capital such as wages, stock, rent or a gap before customers pay.
Does enquiring affect my credit score?
No. There is no credit check when you first enquire. A credit check only comes up if you decide to go ahead with an option.
How much can a small business borrow?
Unsecured and cash-flow options for trading businesses are typically $5,000 to $500,000, sized on turnover and bank statements. Property-secured options run from $20,000 to $5,000,000. Each is assessed individually.
How fast can I get funded?
Same-day funding is possible for smaller unsecured amounts, and larger property-secured amounts can sometimes move within 24 to 48 hours. Timing depends on the lender, the amount and how quickly your documents are ready.
Can I get a business loan with bad credit or ATO debt?
Past credit issues and ATO debt are considered case by case. A recent record of healthy trading, and a clear explanation of what went wrong, matter more than many owners expect.
Do I need property to qualify?
No. Unsecured options do not require property. Owning residential or commercial property simply opens the larger, property-secured shelf, with the property at risk if the loan cannot be repaid.
Will you send my details to a pile of lenders?
No. A lending specialist reads your enquiry and matches it with care. Your details are not sprayed across a list of lenders.
Can I use the money for personal expenses?
No. Funding is for business purposes only.
